Come learn the beautiful fiber art of Weaving! Create your own, unique woven tapestries for your home.

You'll learn the basic methods of woven tapestry using cotton and wool yarn, roving, and natural materials. We'll cover the techniques used in creating patterns and texture in your original pieces. The class includes a hand-crafted wood loom with all the accessories needed to get you started on your weaving adventure.

Instruction will be by talented fiber artist Rachel Ehlin-Smith of Mr. Blue Skye. Rachel works out of her studio in Little Italy, making beautiful, one-of-a-kind woven tapestry, jewelry, rugs and more.

We are thrilled to be partnering with The Library Shop to host this workshop. The Library Shop is a carefully curated one-stop shop for books, jewelry, children’s merchandise, gifts and art located inside the new San Diego Central Library.
